Mark Gurman at Bloomberg shared Johny Srouji’s memo to staff today, which reads in-part:
I know you’ve been reading all kind of rumors and speculations about my future at Apple, and I feel that you need to hear from me directly. […] I love my team, and I love my job at Apple, and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
Safe to say he won’t be leaving Apple. I surmised in my previous commentary that Srouji’s departure could make things worse for the company, following the departures of many executives within the company, so I’m glad to see that reporting was wrong.
Srouji and team are responsible for the Mac’s transition to Apple silicon and, love them or hate them, their work has been 1) incredibly remarkable and 2) made a significant impact on the industry as a whole.
